The purpose of this run, is to raise money for Cancer research in memory of my father Phillip Brewster, my Grandfathers Kevin Brewster and Neil Woodford, Grandmother Marjorie Woodford, Great Grandfather Robert Woodford, and to everyone who has suffered, survived or been affected in some way by this terrible disease.

I lost my father to stomach cancer when he was only 36 years old. My family and those of many close to me, continue to be affected by this disease, everyday. I hope to show people that through commitment and endurance, anything is possible.

The act of running is symbolic, in that it is only you and the seemingly endless road ahead; just as someone faces a fight against cancer. They must choose to head down that road and continue to put one foot in front of the other.

I hope to raise $10,000 for Cancer research, and generate awareness through this endeavour.

$10,000 may not be much by today's standards, but in order to reach the finish line, countless steps need to be taken. If this $10,000 is simply a miniscule step in the grand scheme of things, it is still a step in the right direction and we have made a difference.
